We are extremely fortunate to have Willie Garnett as our resident woodwind specialist. Willie is one of the UK’s best known woodwind repairers and has over 40 years of experience, specializing in the restoration of vintage instruments (particularly saxophones) and has been used as a design consultant by some of the world’s top saxophone manufacturers.

Willie is also very well known as a saxophone player and band leader (The Willie Garnett Big Band) and has worked with many greats from the Rock world (e.g. Rolling Stones) to Jazz (e.g. Sony Stitt).

Typical work undertaken:

• Re-corking / re-felting
• Re-seating pads
• Removing dents to bodywork
• Replacing springs
• Complete re-padding (total strip-down required)
• Total restoration of instruments.

Because of his considerable contacts with players all over the UK, Willie usually has a range of instruments for sale (all guaranteed by him of course!) and is one of the best points of contact if you’re looking for an older Selmer, King, Conn etc. Alternatively, if you have an instrument for sale, contact us – any condition or brand considered.
