Elise Watten

Violin | Viola

Elise Pettersen Watten is a Norwegian violist and violinist. She graduated from the Royal College of Music with a Master of performance in 2022 and has since then been a busy freelancer. She was a participant of the BBC Symphony Orchestra´s Pathways Program in 2020 and is in 2023 an Instrumental Ambassador with the Benedetti Foundation. 

Her work in 2022 includes performances of Bartok´s “Bluebeards Castle” with GreenOpera, Janacek’s “The cunning little vixen” with Hampstead Garden Opera, regular performances with Brixton Chamber Orchestra, and recording sessions, including one at Abbey Road Studios. 

Elise is also a passionate and experienced violin teacher. She is working at several schools in South London and has since 2017 been giving lessons privately. She has experience working with chamber groups and orchestras and enjoys playing music in different genres. Elise will tailor her lessons to the students need, whether that’s prepping for an exam or simply exploring the endless possibilities of playing a musical instrument.
